Flat-panel displays (FPD) make use of multiple deposition steps while being manufactured. TFT array glass controls the voltage with millions of transistors. One layer at a time, after cleaning, the transistor "gate" is insulated and then assembled using layers of deposition, photolithography, masking, and etching.
