Electric Immersion Heaters - for Industrial Chemical and Water Applications
Process Technology electric immersion heaters are designed for a spectrum of industrial applications - from water to the demands of corrosive chemical heating, with a vast array of configurations available such as open tank, screw plug and flange. A wide variety of sheath materials ensure heater longevity regardless of the chemistry, including: fluoropolymer, quartz, titanium, 316 stainless steel, 304 stainless steel and plain steel. Immersion heater sizes range from as small as 100 watts for laboratory environments to as large as 54,000 watts (flange heaters up to 270,000 watts) for industrial applications. Many standard configurations are available from stock, and quick turnaround is offered for custom-configured heaters (manufacturing lead times can be as short as two or three days). Process Technology electric immersion heaters are cULus and CE listed.
No thermal protection is required because the SmartOne® immersion heater self limits its maximum heat output (below the ignition point of most plastics). Titanium, 316 and 304 stainless steel available - up to 18 kilowatt, single or three phase. Available in three flexible voltage ranges (up to 480 volt). Operates in air, sludge, or scale. Longer lasting and safer than resistive heaters. cULus and CE.
Our fluoropolymer (PTFE) immersion heaters are compatible with virtually any chemistry and are available in sizes up to 18 kilowatts, single or three phase. We offer a large variety of standard and custom configurations for over-the-side and tank bottom installations, and low profile custom designs are also available. Rigid and flexible risers available. Our screw plug and flange heaters are manufactured in sizes from ½-inch screw plug (100 watt) to 6-inch flange (18 kW). Thermal overtemperature protection standard (except screw plug), and we offer rigid and flexible risers. The vast majority of our immersion heaters are cULus and CE.

Process Technology's quartz infrared radiant heating elements are designed for use in markets including but not limited to: painting, powder coating, corrosion control, organic finishing, metalworking and automotive metal finishing.
Ceramic insulators provide positive electrical insulation. The elements are used for curing, baking and drying applications and capable of reaching full heat in 40 to 65 seconds. Watt densities of 50 watts per square inch (8 w/cm2).
Special wattages and lengths are available to fit most ovens/panels. Also offered in 1/2-inch diameter tubes, three electrical terminal styles, and temperature controls are available to be sized to match the heater. These elements are intended for horizontal installation only.
The efficiency of these elements offers customers an economical alternative for replacement parts.
Process Technology quartz heaters are ideal for most acidic chemistries and have metal grounded elements with quartz sheath. Up to 10 kW single tube or 30 kW triple tube available. Our polypropylene guards are standard, and fluoropolymer guards available. Tube assembly, metal element and guard sold separately, but all three must be used together. Thermal overtemperature protection standard. cULus certified and CE compliant.
