This position is responsible for the creation and maintenance of electrical schematics and the troubleshooting of controls. The ideal candidate will work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure clear communication, accurate drawings and product understanding. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and modify electrical schematics, drawings and documents.
  • Work with manufacturing to create or correct electrical drawings and BOMs.
  • Source new or replacement electrical components.
  • Draft detailed drawings to request parts for fabrication.
  • Fabricate simple prototypes; set up laboratory tests.
  • Troubleshoot electrical components and wiring.
  • Troubleshoot digital and analog electronic circuits.
  • Research and implement product improvements or cost reductions.
  • Conduct test of complete units under operational conditions to investigate design proposals.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards.

Requirements:
  • Certificate or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent electrical and controls experience.
  • Experience reading, interpreting and utilizing 2D or 3D modeling software, AutoCAD preferred.
  • Hands on electrical experience, such as programming, testing, troubleshoot, repairing, etc.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precise technical plans, prints, drawings and models.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and statistics and their applications.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in electrical wiring.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
